The Public Library Service is one of the many public services to witness and experience the growth in numbers of people from other cultures moving to Donegal. Donegal County Library has a wide range of services and programmes providing for and embracing the ethnic diversity of the communities we serve.

We are committed to the continued development of policies and practices that respond to all users and to the continued principles of access and participation.

Our multicultural resources include:

• Reading materials in various languages for children & adults
• English language learning materials for children & adults
• Access to library computers and the Internet
• Information to help newcomers to adapt to living in Ireland
• Current information on their country of origin
• Materials about cultures and heritage
• Outreach programmes and promotional activities
