Civil Society Prize 2012

The European Economic and Social Committee ( EESC ) is organising the fifth edition of the Civil Society Prize. This award has been created to reward excellence in the initiatives of the European civil society.

The theme of the 2012 civil society prize is Innovate for a sustainable Europe!

 The EESC will reward projects that have shown that innovative initiatives in sustainable production and/or consumption have led to the creation of green jobs in Europe.

The prize, of a total value of €30,000 and which will be awarded on 12 December 2012, is open to civil society organisations, at international, national, regional and local levels, established in the European Union.

The deadline for submitting applications is 30 September 2012.
