Services for Schools
We welcome visits from primary & post-primary classes and we are happy to visit schools. A teacher may borrow up to 35 books for 12 weeks. Simply bring along a letter signed by the principal and we will sign you up at the desk with a special block loan card.
Some of our libraries can deliver books directly to schools, please contact your local library for further details.
The library is a great place to find information for help with homework/school projects. Ask to see our selection of Donegal-related cuttings from magazines, newspaper and journal articles. Use them to tackle that homework /school project and check out our online resources. If you are looking for information about Ireland, our country, our culture, our heritage and the way we work and play, check out the Ask about Ireland website.
In October each year, Donegal County Library, in conjunction with other Cultural Service Departments, hosts Wainfest - a festival of books, arts and music for children of all ages.
