FREE TALK DELIVERED BY ZOOM

Raising Resilient Children

FREE Zoom Event

Dr. Mary O’Kane Lecturer in Psychology, Early Childhood Studies and Education

Donegal Library Service as part of the Healthy Ireland At Your Library events programme presents an online event for all parents, educators and those who have an interest in building resilience in children.

Dr. Mary O’Kane Lecturer in Psychology, Early Childhood Studies and Education will deliver this talk and there will be lots of opportunities for you to ask questions.

Resilience is key in supporting our young children to cope with the ups and downs that life throws at them – it is what helps them to bounce back from adversity. In this Free online event, Mary offers practical advice on how we can best support our children in becoming more resilient and having greater confidence in their own abilities.

This free event will take place on zoom on Monday October 3rd  and you can book here now.

Dr Mary O'Kane is a Lecturer in Psychology, Early Childhood Studies and Education and is a regular contributor to Newstalk Radio; Ireland AM and Today FM discussing a broad range of parenting issues. Her first book, Perfectly Imperfect Parenting: Connection not Perfection, was published in 2021.

Everyone is welcome and the talk will suit parents of children in Primary through to Post Primary stage. Educators and anyone working with children and youth are also welcome.

This is a perfect opportunity to attend a live online event where you can learn how to help children build resilience and prepare for their future and ask  Dr. O'Kane any questions that are directly of interest and concern to you.

We look forward to welcoming you to this event.
